We are now looking for a Leadership & Competence Developer.

Job Description

In the Leadership and Competence development team we work with competence for all areas of IKEA Core Business Range and Core Business Supply connected to developing the range, sourcing the materials, supplying the products and creating world-class marketing. We develop learning initiatives with different levels of complexity based on the needs of our close to 30 000 co-workers.
Your main responsibilities in this assignment will include:

  • Developing highly professional learning initiatives and solutions according to the IKEA learning development process, guidelines and framework.  
  • Develop learning in different formats such as e-learning, workshops, facilitated online trainings etc. depending on the needs from the business.
  • Understand the reality of the learner and be a great speaking partner to the competence development area leaders and business stakeholders in developing and maintaining the different learning initiatives.
  • Responsible for securing quality, IKEA tone of voice and look and feel of the learning solutions in the offer
  • Lead the review process of existing learning solutions and in close collaboration with the content owners ensure that content is relevant and up to date. 
  • Ensure that the IKEA values guide the development of learning products, which should be recognizable in the learning design, the IKEA identity, the cost/price and the learning products’ ability to last over time. 
  • As a member of our team you will also facilitate one or several learning initiatives as part of your role.
  • All members of team are also owners of leadership trainings or programmes which includes training and securing facilitators, securing frequency of the sessions and keeping the content and format is up to date.
  • You will contribute to constantly developing and improving the ways of working with learning in IKEA  Core Business Range and Core Business Supply

To succeed & shine in this role, we wish that you:

  • Have knowledge and experience of developing learning solutions or other development work in a business context
  • Have a solid understanding of the process of development of learning initiatives
  • You have experience of facilitating workshops or trainings
  • Have interest in development and trends in the field of learning and behaviour change
  • Have practice indirect leadership and project management
  • Have an ability to work with both a long-term strategic agenda and short term operational tasks
  • Have strong communication skills, together with being structured and well-organized.
  • You have extensive experience in developing digital learning solutions on one or several platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and you are fluent in English
