Job Description

It´s a challenging job! 

You will be leading the team that develops and operates a wide scope of insights (Consumer Insights, Strategy & Market Insights, and Brand & Range Insights) to IKEA people across the IKEA value chain. Creating capabilities to continuously create high quality and IKEA unique insight products will be key. Together with your team, you will be in charge of providing consumer and market insights as a starting point to IKEA Strategies and Business Plans.

You’ll also be expected to plan and steer various kinds of initiatives which requires competence in insight, strategy work and indirect leadership.

Being part of Core Business Franchise (the IKEA Franchisor) you will carry the responsibility of measuring the success of the IKEA concept in order to protect, develop and enable the future success of IKEA Concept and strengthen the IKEA Brand.

Leading change will be on the agenda as you will support your team transitioning to a product based and agile organisation, with a rich business and people operation and development agenda.

Qualifications

You´ll need some experience!

The person we are looking for is known for relentlessly bringing data and insights as a strong foundation in decision making. Very curious on how the changes in the world we live will affect IKEA and our customers. Passionate about how people live and shop and a strong drive for improving business. You continuously bring in new perspectives on how to view things. Analytical and strategic are words that people use when describing you. You also have a proven track record of managing stakeholders on a senior level and nurturing trustful collaboration across different organisations.

Furthermore, we believe you have:

  • A solid background both working with Data/Insights and having been exposed to complex business/commercial challenges, for a minimum of 12-15 years, ideally in an omnichannel retail industry and/or different parts of the IKEA value chain. Experience working in FMCG and/or Tech companies could definitely be an advantage.
  • True passion to lead and develop people – managers, leaders and experts working in the team. It’s necessary that you have experience of being a line manager and leading large teams to set you up for success as you will be leading together with your management team a diverse team of approx. 70 people.
  • Embedding digital and business will be central part of your work so past experience/understanding of digital development and agile ways of working is a plus.

Your proactiveness, great leadership, planning and communication skills will support you in doing a great job. You must have strong integrity and the ability to interact and build networks and bridges with people in different environments and contexts as your everyday stakeholders will be in many different part of IKEA.
