The Innovation team aims to explore and innovate new solutions that strengthen the IKEA range and products, including new product segments and functionality while securing capacities to develop, validate and deploy new revolutionary innovation on the market.

Job Description

As an Innovation Hub Leader you will be leading and developing the digital & physical Hub/hubs for innovation development. The Hubs shall be a creative place for cross organizational an cross functional innovation, strengthening a common meeting point/space for innovation initiatives to solve future challenges in people’s lives at home. This collaboration will also expand to external companies and partners that we work with in order to Innovate together.

  • Establish, sustain, and develop Innovation Hubs to deliver to IKEA strategic direction, goals and objectives
  • Finding new digital solution to how we can collaborate and innovate together.
  • Keeping up with trends and developments in the technical communication field
  •  Define user-friendly and simple ways how we work with Innovation Hubs to support the capturing of ideas and learnings. Secure that the infrastructure brings back all the good ideas and learnings to the business.
  • Evaluate the function of the Hubs and constantly seek new solutions to develop and improve, global, local, digital, and physical to support the innovation agenda.
  • Coach other areas of the business in how to work with Innovation Hubs, enabling others to utilize its full potential
  • Secure IKEA identity within all digital and physical Hubs, including culture and values
  • Lead a world class experience for all collaborators within the Innovation Hubs
  • Bridge the online to offline experience within IKEA
  • Work close to the business, communicate and anchor the Innovation Hub to relevant stakeholders and forums throughout the organizations of IKEA and external partners

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and interest in current and upcoming technologies, societal movements, event management and IT
  • Understand different target groups needs during Innovation development
  • What it takes to create an innovative creative climate in a digital & physical space, today and tomorrow
  • Service minded, team player with leaderships skills, project management and organizing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to jump in and works hands on when needed
  • Build trustful and successful relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and leading in a complex environment, globally and remotely
  • Ability to capture and structure learnings to improve ways of working and to reach better solutions
  • Good in stakeholder management to secure the hubs delivering back all the good ideas and learnings to the business
  • Strong negotiation skills and efficient in cost management
