In this role you will work at IKEA of Sweden, IoS, responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. The Process & IT Tools department in the Range & Product Development organisation supports co-workers working in the product development process with the digital tools and process they need to perform their tasks.

You will support different areas, but one main will be the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) area, where we are implementing new ways of working along with improved digital capabilities. We are looking for an experienced Learning Lead to join our team and to support co-workers with great learning and performance support solutions.

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to enable the co-workers at IKEA to learn and perform tasks, connected to the digital capabilities we are responsible for. We work closely together with the Product Owners/Solution Owners as well as process and Subject Matter Experts. We apply a “performance first” mind-set, meaning we design learning and performance support for what the co-worker needs when he/she is doing the job, and then we add any needed additional formal learning activities. We learn and apply the 5 Moments of Need framework.

In this job you will need to keep a holistic view of the project and product scope, as well as being detailed in creating specific learning and support modules. It’s a hands-on job where you will need to be familiar with authoring and screen recording tools like Adobe Captivate. You will need to have a good eye for graphical and visual communication, and apply the IKEA tone of voice.

Your assignment will include:

  • Together with business stakeholders, Solution Owners and other learning resources: analyze learning and performance support needs.
  • Design and develop the learning and performance support solutions.
  • Secure that the learning and performance support solutions are up to date and available to the target groups.
  • Together with your learning team, stay up to date on new tools and ways of working with learning.

Qualifications

Are you experienced in analysing learning needs and design pedagogic learning solutions? Are you skilled in making a complex flow of information simpler for the end-user? Are you experienced in instructional design? And are you motivated to live and share our IKEA culture and values? If so, come and join us on an exciting journey!

For being successful in this role you need to have:

  • Ability to work with end-to-end learning analysis, design, development, delivery, and effect evaluation.
  • Experience of using learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate.
  • An analytical and structured mind-set.
  • Experience of working in IT projects and creating learning solutions for digital IT tools is beneficial.
  • Good understanding of the product development process at IKEA is beneficial.
  • Comfortable and experienced facilitator/trainer.
  • Knowledge and understanding of workflow learning/performance support is beneficial.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in publishing on websites.
  • Ability to build trustful relationships and cooperate with people in different units and cultures.
  • Good understanding of IKEA or other global industries.
