Job Description

As the communication partner in IKEA, IMC has set up four Communication Assignment Areas with the purpose to lead and develop state of the art communication to the lowest possible cost.

The Range Communication Assignment Area leads and develops range communication assignments from the IKEA communication plans for all trademark users.
The assignments include but are not limited to: range launches and news, brochures, communication for IKEA digital customer meeting points and contribution to digital platform development and digital transformation initiatives.

We’re now looking for an Assignment Leader to lead and develop our digital communication assignments, focusing on content management and delivery. As an Assignment Leader you are end-to-end accountable for planning, creating, producing, delivering and following up the agreed result connected to IKEA directions, strategies and communication plans.

As Assignment Leader, Digital you will:

  • Lead assignments that delivers to IMC´ priorities and long-term ambitions, as well as the current and future demands of the IKEA Communication Plan and digital transformation roadmap.
  • Partner with stakeholders around development and implementation of marketing technology systems and processes impacting IMC´ ways of working and delivery of digital assets and communication.
  • Lead implementation and change management from a business perspective within IMC.
  • Lead and manage managers and co-workers in creating an inclusive, engaging and future-oriented learning environment that supports our co-workers’ continuous competence development and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Manage the budget and associated performance indicators to secure successful delivery of assignments.

Qualifications

Our Assignment Leaders are people who can identify, contextualize and capitalize on commercial business opportunities and consumer trends to meet the direction of IKEA and the customers’ needs. People who think strategically and conceptually and has strong analytical skills combined with being inspirational. People who can enable development and implementation of global communication strategies, even in times of change or restrictive resources. People who can manage stakeholders, drive decisions and consensus, creating synergies and collaborations. People that can spark an innovative and idea driven culture that enables co-workers to explore and share ideas and reinvent communication solutions.

You’ll need:    

  • Extensive experience developing and implementing global communication and brand communication on multiple digital platforms for large business/brands within Media or Retail industries.
  • Experience from implementing and working with marketing technology systems such as Content Management Systems and Digital Asset Management solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the digital customer journey, how they consume and experience communication online.
  • Leadership experience, direct or indirect such as project management. 
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, creative, and inclusive work environment.
  • It is a great to have experience from and knowledge about the IKEA strategic landscape, IKEA concept, brand, values, copy and visual identity, organizational setup, matrix lines, business processes & owners but we welcome applicants from similar environments with similar experience and knowledge.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
