Workplace Production is an exciting internal function within IKEA of Sweden. Our assignment is the development, production and delivery of assignments within Interiors, Build services, Events, Installation and other related assignments. 

We make reality of the ideas with good skills and effective working methods and techniques. From the sketching board to prototypes and further into production.

Workplace Production is looking for a Production Technician within wood

A common day in the team often starts with a request from our assignors. It could be technical challenge within the development process or other production challenges. You define the need based on the request to creation of a solution or a prototype, that demonstrates the product design and characteristics. In other words – you will give life to an idea. 

It could also be that you step into being a speaking partner to share your knowledge and ideas around choice of material, build techniques, work environment, assembly, comfort, surface treatment, production methods or other related area.

We are looking for you who have the practical production technician and carpenter skills together with impressive knowledge within a specific material area, in this case wood.

You are in other words a candidate with knowledge and experience within the following areas:
•    Educated and proven certified or equal experience within the fields of construction, production and carpentry.
•    Ability to lead other coworkers and hired consultants/contractors on factory floor our build site. 
•    Deep wood material knowledge and production techniques. 
•    Driven in product development and creative solutions. 
•    CNC experience and drawings capability such as Alpha Cam and Solid works. 
•    Ability to be flexible in the fields build carpeting, surface treatment (paint) and metal works.
•    Swedish and English in spoken and written are preferable, 

We also want you to be eager to learn, renew and develop.  You are flexible on above work assignments and driven by working together with others.  Costumer needs in focus is very important to us. You have a strong motivation and deliver with high quality. 

You have genuine curiosity about creating the best technical and innovative solution for internal IKEA as-signors according to the democratic design objectives. You are a true problem solver with open and curios mind who always have the business and customer in focus.
