IKEA Components is looking for a Material Impact Aanalyst to our great team of Engineers. The base in your work will be to support the Range and Engineering Development teams in matters related to climate impacts of materials to enable the delivery of the IKEA commitment to become climate positive by 2030.
Some of the tasks will be:
- Life cycle analysis in SimaPro
- Material requirement management in our PLM system PLUS
- Support RDE in sustainable material choices
- Contribute to material plans
In other words – you will help us move our part of the agenda for a more sustainable development. It could also be that you will be stepping in as a speaking partner in the Management board and to Business Navigation, challenging our ways of working with improvement suggestions and finding the best way forward with a goal to fulfil the agenda. And of course – you will have a lot of fun!
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a passion for creating a positive impact on people and planet by empowering our business to shape the agenda on how IKEA Components should tackle the climate footprint of materials. You have previous experience of Life cycle assessments (LCAs) and know how to analyse model emission factors on materials. You have good knowledge in the materials Polymer and/or Steel. Ideally you have a university degree within engineering in a relevant field. As a person you are down to earth, pragmatic solution orientated with a sparkling curiosity that will lead you forward in the unknown. IKEA is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and therefore you need to speak and write in English. You have an ability to communicate clearly and are open minded, and how to build relations with stakeholders and pears, internal as well as external.
