New technology is changing behaviour and the demands for new ways to interact and share real-time insights are essential for continuous growth. IKEA Product Information Management Programme is one part of our digital transformation journey towards creating success for IKEA. The purpose of the programme is to create a connected flow for product information across our value chain to enable business movements supporting IKEA into the future.

GS1 has been identified as one of the change drivers to enable a connected flow of product information, connecting identifiers with the product-, part- and sales structures. GS1 will support IKEA to enable traceability, as well as the ability to connect with our many partners across the value chain. In this exciting journey we are now looking for a Business Analyst who wants to contribute to the development of our capabilities, working closely together with colleagues across IKEA.

Job Description

As a Business analyst you will over time work with a broad variety of topics, and initiatives securing that business and user needs are analyzed, described and translated into business requirements. You will secure that any business process changes that are needed are understood and anchored as part of the business requirements. You will be working with a team of project leaders, experts, solution and business architects to continuously find better ways of working within the areas of identify, capture and share product information. You will as the rest of the team be an ambassador of the GS1 standard, continuously sharing your knowledge at IKEA, finding opportunities with our business colleagues. You are delivery oriented and visionary, have a strong passion around product information.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you are excited by our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people and have a genuine interest in digital transformation, product data and learning the GS1 standard. You are a team player who is motivated by driving and delivering results together with people and you have a high level of technical competence and insights.

We also believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge and capabilities:

  • You ideally bring digital, business analyst and projects experience. An interest in new technologies and how they could improve IKEA business and user experiences in the future will be of great value.
  • You have experience in business process creation and understand the importance of processes in overall and you take a human approach to it.
  • You enjoy an agile and iterative, yet structured way of working and achieving results together with a team in a flexible environment, but also have a strong individual drive to deliver high quality results on time.
  • You can communicate fluently and effectively in English both writing and speaking
  • You have excellent communication and networking skills
  • You lead and act as a role model with the IKEA Culture and values always in mind in your daily work
  • Preferably you also have experience from working with product information or GS1.
  • You also understand the numerous opportunities that GS1 will bring to IKEA and a good understanding of the change management process.
