Job Description

As a Business Analyst in Flow Performance Team, you will be an active business partner by supporting our unit in business performance by delivering relevant, accurate and fact-based business analytics at the right time, based on business needs. You are the business analytics expert that can convert complex and large data sets into facts that in turn deliver to actionable insights and receiver friendly performance reports on mid and long term perspective. You drive precision throughout our entire Supply Chain and have an active part in securing the excellence in total IKEA Supply Chain.

You will report to Flow Performance Manager.

Key responsibilities:
•    Provide business analytics and support to monitor, analyse and follow up business performance – presenting the results on the different forums like: Global Operations Forum or Market Operations Forum. 
•    Assist with analysing business consequences through scenario planning, modelling and risk assessment when it comes to orders’ flow, backlog, extra cost development, ect.  
•    Contribute to the development of business analytical approaches and business information tools, actively engage in relevant matrix & networks – build international, cross-functional teams with the strong commitment to follow up the progress and deliver the results. 
•    Simplify and automatize standard processes to enable our business partners and ourselves to be more efficient in analysis, conclusions and challenge & support.
•    Contribute to business development and innovation by analysing business consequences of different scenarios, through scenario planning, modelling, risk assessment and contingency planning.
•    Acts as an ambassador for a performance culture, works to enhance business understanding in the unit.
•    Participate in projects and forums with an impact on Supply Operations. Proactively search for improvement potentials in mutual cooperation to create one common basis, contribute to create understanding within supply chain regarding mutual expectations, needs and preconditions with total cost in mind.
•    Play a key role in the continuous development of total logistical operational performance in close collaboration with IKEA supply chain stakeholders including solutions.
 

Additional Information

•    You have a university degree in computer science, information management, engineering or relevant working experience connected with data analysis. 
•    You have a good knowledge about Supply Chain and you understand the interactions between all stakeholders in the chain. You understand where the critical to success factors are and with the fact base approach you can evaluate the causing party. 
•    Ability to understand business complexity and related performance measurements.
•    You have a good understanding IT architecture and infrastructure related to Business Intelligence.
•    You have a solid knowledge of databases (SQL).
•    You are familiar with RPA technology and skilled in building process automation.
•    You have experience with Qlikview and QlikSense development. Knowledge of other business intelligence technologies (Power BI, Tableau…) are appreciated. 
•    Development on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and experience of advanced analytics, predictive modeling (e.g. Python, R…) are a plus.
•    You are a master of one or more programming languages (Java, python, VBA ...).
•    The candidate must possess strong communication skills and be able to track and complete multiple requests with conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment.
•    Ability to work independently and in a team environment, self-motivated and good communication skills – you will reach out to the different stakeholder around the globe and do not hesitate to express your opinion. Strong analytical and problems solving skills are essential.
•    You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

The role will be located in our Pratteln office, Switzerland. However, for the right internal candidate we can consider location in anyone of our SCO offices around the globe.
