It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

When other people see complexity, you create clarity.

Right now we are looking for a Range Management Leader and a Project Leader to be part of a highly committed Range Performance Framework Project team!

Job Description

Why join our Project team?

The Range performance framework (RPF) project is part of the Range dimensioning (RD) program. The RPF will support the collaboration process between IKEA Retail and IKEA Range & Supply, in which to define a relevant, commercial and profitable range offer for every IKEA country through a shared navigation capability.

These capabilities will be presented using a multidimensional view, covering all key aspects of range performance, which will create a base to start discussions from. Another important deliverable is to create a Range Performance dash board where key data will be presented, ensuring that the agreed range for each market fulfils the Range Framework, as one example. The project is in the explore phase until end of March and will then head into the create phase. A first version should be ready before the summer and during autumn it will evolve and be finalised during FY22.

This is an ongoing strategic project in IKEA with touchpoints throughout the entire company. Being part of this project is a great possibility to influence the future of IKEA as well as to extend your network.

Your responsibilities will include:

The project group are working on different streams, including:

  • Development of a Range performance dashboard. This shall in the future be used as live reporting, with possibilities to drill down wherever needed. It shall be futuristic in the sense that we use data that already exist elsewhere and translate it to a common language, as well as create insights from it. The outcome goal is that the insights can lead to actions.
  • Continuing the work on the model, currently named the "Spider web", where we compare the internal view from IKEA with the external view from the market and consumer. The model is meant to act as a bridge between retail countries and the HFB's and support when they meet, using insights and questions to guide. As the range offer needs to be relevant for the country there is a need for new tools to support and this will be one. This tool has a close relationship with the Digital Range development tool, where we visualise the range today. After a first version is in place there is a need to start mapping the gaps and develop the model further. There will also be a need to make the data into insights in a common and atomised way.
  • Additionally the project group is working close to the RD team on principles, definitions and WoW and these will be areas where the roles also will be involved.

This is a temporary position for 24 months.
