IKEA Supply China (“ISCN”) is the wholesale business unit buying IKEA goods from Suppliers and selling to retailers in Asia Pacific region, comparable to IKEA Supply AG.  As a unit equipped with finance, legal, risk, compensation & benefit, corporate communication specialists, ISCN also provides common/shared services to all Inter IKEA business units and sites in China.

Job Description

To support the IKEA goods availability to relevant stakeholders for the fulfillment of the agreed service level to IKEA customer, establishing the customs process and deliver operation excellence by smooth and efficient border-crossing activity at lowest cost, meanwhile fully complying with relevant laws and regulations in local country.

To lead country customs team to manage import and export related affairs in the objective to achieve customs clearance efficiency, cost effectiveness and customs compliance.
To secure the team deliveries according to IKEA Strategy, Business Plan, Customs 2020 by developing business and people together.

Qualifications

Your assignment

  • Be responsible for import and export affairs in assigned IKEA units, securing efficient and effective internal controls and conducting business in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations and achieve operation excellence;
  • Lead to acquire and secure Customs related license and accreditation;
  • Work closely with IKEA stakeholders, continuously enhance process optimization to meet business requirements;
  • Secure and extend IKEA business model and Bonded warehouse management;
  • Manage and improve broker/agents performance;
  • Maintain good communication with local authorities and get their support on tracking and adapting relevant rules to contribute on cost and operation efficiency;
  • Lead and develop team in accordance with "Leading business and people together", secure team competence to current and future needs;
  • Provide Customs solution to business expansion in China;
  • Engage and support Global and Regional projects.

You have

  • University level or equivalent education background
  • Over 5 years working experience with at least 3 years in import, export, customs or trade related areas
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influence skills with internal and external parties
  • Quick learner and sense of change readiness
  • Excellent oral and written skills in both English and local language
  • Good computer skills and system knowledge
