About the job

A Supply Planner is the link between IKEA Components and its suppliers on all operational and logistic issues. The Supply Planner ensures that the agreed business setups are followed, updated and improved to secure the highest level of product availability for IKEA's customers with the lowest total Supply Chain cost. A Supply Planner within IKEA Components Purchasing works in a material-oriented team, in close co-operation with the Business Developer and the Technician.

• Manages or performs procurement and supply and logistics work for materials and finished goods, or products for resale including two or more of the following: •Procurement •Demand/Inventory/Production Planning & Control •Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation •International Trade

At this level, the co-worker applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency:
• Works independently with some supervision from (senior) co-workers.
• Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
