Job Description

Do you want to build competitive advantage by using graphic communication strategically as a strong driver and enabler of a consistent, coherent and rewarding brand experience across all customer meeting points?

Do you have a broad and holistic business understanding and extensive experience using different communication/graphic techniques and layout as a commercial tool for strengthening the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in the design of range presentation solutions and customer meeting points?

As Promote & Present specialist, you will be responsible for solution design within the modular retail system, including guidelines, solutions and examples for how the customer meets the range and navigates through and across all customer meeting points.

You will lead and contribute to various development initiatives that creates value in the meeting with the customer, leading to business impact across IKEA and unique competitive position in all markets.

You will enable commercial and operational success through providing methods, frameworks and tools supporting inspiration, planning and activation.

Qualifications

To be able to succeed in this job, you need to share and live the IKEA values.

As an ideal candidate you have:

  • In-depth knowledge about customer centric retail design, processes, methods and tools.
  • Capability to analyze and identify communication needs in a new retail landscape and transform that into different directions for all customer meeting points.
  • Ability to visualize and communicate the one IKEA brand across all  customer meeting points
  • You have the ability to keep the strategic focus and at the same time bring it down to tactical solutions
  • Ability to translate global trends, strategies and insights to development and design of impactful retail solutions.
  • Knowledge about how digital capabilities enable a rewarding customer experience and create unique business advantages.
  • Passion for and good knowledge about latest trends in customer centric retail development and retail experience design.
  • Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Solid experience of using layout as a commercial tool, leveraging on your communication and graphic  competence.
  • Strong communicative skills. We set high expectations on your passion for, and ability to collaborate and engage people with different competences in a complex and fast paced environment.
  • Confidence in communicating visual concepts and sharing knowledge in various situations and to different audiences.
  • Conceptual and strategic thinking, capability to see the overall picture and how the different elements of the business model deliver together.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the different aspects of the IKEA retail system.
