As BA Range & Product Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to secure planning, prioritization and execution of all projects in the Physical Product Development portfolio from the perspectives of range and product engineering and usage of standard materials, shared solutions and design for total cost. You will do that with a complete understanding of the digital and firmware component   in IKEA Home smart products. 

This is a senior leadership role within IKEA, and as a BA Range & Product Engineering Manager you will be a member of the BA Management Team and deliver to the Business Plan and Business agenda. 

Your focus will be on leading the physical product engineering resources towards the agreed development plan, by understanding the high-paced consumer technology field IKEA Home smart is navigating within. You will secure the movements internally in the BA and within the engineering competence area, to continuously improve the customer experience in connection with function, quality, sustainability and low cost. In this role, you will both have a high-level strategical focus, but also have your hands on the operational side of the business, being involved into the day-to-day work.

In this role, you will work closely together with our Software Engineering Manager and organisation and you will be the strong counterpart within Hardware development.

• You have a proven track record of leading both business and people and a strong identification with the IKEA culture and values 
• You have a deep knowledge in hardware development and a solid experience in bringing consumer electronics to the market, all the way from a strategical to a tactical level
• You are a humble leader with extensive experience from strategic development and international business
• You have deep knowledge in material, technical and device firmware development
• You dare to influence and make a difference and you are passionate about leading and coaching people in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• You are an excellent stakeholder manager, and you are business-minded with a simple and straight-forward communication style, which builds credibility and trust
• You thrive in an environment where problem solving and finding new solutions and innovations is key
