Inter IKEA Range & Supply, R&S, is a core business within Inter IKEA Group, responsible for developing and supplying the global IKEA range. IKEA of Sweden AB, or IoS, is one of two core units within Range & Supply, and is responsible for developing and determining the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. IoS is based in Älmhult – the heart of IKEA and the center of IKEA range development and supply chain.

Marketing & Communication focuses on strategic development of the IKEA product and range marketing and communication, brand building communication as well as communication to the many people inside and outside of IKEA.

We are now looking for a Communication leader with focus on our area of expertise Text, to join our Text & Facts team within M&C Range and Product Communication  

As a Communication Leader, you lead the development of Range & Product communication texts for large-scale production for an automatic presentation in different touch points.

You are responsible together with specialists within Text & Facts to lead the development of frameworks, new text formats and improvements of today’s portfolio for effective and efficient text communication for Range & Product communication function within Marketing & Communication. This means collaboration with HFB’s, Development centres as well as collaborating with different stakeholders/organisations.

You need to have a broad understanding of IKEAs system landscape for communication; its possibilities as well as its limitations and future potentials as this is an important cornerstone for large-scale productions and reuse of communication content.   

To succeed in this role, you are well-organized with an extensive experience working with customer facing range and product communication. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to listen to, influence and challenge a diverse group of stakeholders. You have an interest in home furnishing and, perhaps most importantly, you always, always have the customer in mind in all that you do! 

As well as:

• Passionate about communication
• Understanding of what large-scale production for automatic presentation and reuse of content means
• Pedagogic skills, both in creating understanding within Range & Product communication about what text means for our business and being able to be a good trainer and inspire
• Good understanding about the range & product communication palette, how the different communication content interacts, from packaging communication to visual and written messages meeting the consumer in all touch points.
• Motivated by having a holistic view yet an eye for details.
• Appreciate the mix of tactical thinking and turning communication theory into practice.
• You have excellent skills in building and working through networks of stakeholders.
• Desire to enable others and share competence securing continuous development and improvement – to mentor or coach others in communication creation and delivery.
