At IKEA Food we are passionate food lovers that from our Malmö office develop and provide food for the many people around the world. Every year 680 million visitors experience a taste of Sweden in the IKEA Restaurants, Swedish Food Markets and Bistros in our different markets. With an ambitious health- and sustainability agenda, we want to deepen our knowledge base on the concept of sustainable nutrition and find ways to integrate it into our product development process. 

We are looking for you with an interest for food, nutrition and sustainability to lead this project and deliver a tool we can use to create better food for people and the planet. 

Job Description

The aim of the assignment is to research the current knowledge landscape on sustainable nutrition, establish definitions and implement these to evaluate the global IKEA Food range. This includes scientific research, competitor monitoring and benchmarking as well as knowledge sharing and discussions with relevant governmental and non-governmental organisations. By the end of the assignment, the student should be able to present a science based recommendation for how to implement the concept of sustainable nutrition into the IKEA Food business. 

Qualifications

You are a curious, motivated and self-lead sustainability and/or health talent. You have experience researching complex topics and communicating that research in simple ways. We want you to do the thesis during the spring term of 2021. To be eligible to apply, you need to be enrolled in a thesis course at university level.

Additional Information

We offer you a couple of months in the Health- and Sustainability team at IKEA Food where you have the opportunity to make an impact on people and planet. We offer flexibility in location and working hours, so you can be located anywhere in the world and working part-time or full-time between January and July 2021. During your thesis you will have a dedicated mentor.
