We are now looking for a new Transport Planner to join our team in Älmhult!

Job Description

As a Delivery Planner you are responsible to secure product availability to our customers at the lowest total landed cost by the consolidation of orders into shipments. You shall ensure total logistical operational performance from end-to-end perspective by planning and booking optimal transport solutions under the consideration of IKEA supply chain stakeholder preconditions.

Additionally, your focus will be to:

  • Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to secure on time delivery, solve operational deviations and suggest improvement potentials for parameters and set-ups affecting delivery planning and execution and Global Working Methods.
  • Monitor shipments and in case of logistical operational deviations take necessary action and inform concerned stakeholders to secure availability for our customers. 
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Delivery Operations process, system and Global Working Methods within the Supply Chain.
  • Secure minimum EQU in our trucks together with Senders.
  • Investigate and solve claim issues.

We believe that you have/are:

  • Related working experience with good knowledge in logistics
  • Education within Logistics or supply chain or experienced within the same field
  • Capability of building effective and trustful relationships
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and working methods in the Supply Chain
  • Fluent in Swedish and English both written and verbal
  • Work Permit in Sweden

Additional Information

Please noted this position is based in Älmhult, Sweden. This is a temporary contract for 12 months. No relocation support in this recruitment. We perform interviews during the process and there could be a recruitment of this position before the end date.
