Job Description

The IKEA Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) technology team within technical services are currently seeking a Configuration Lead to work within the team, to ensure that the delivery of our innovative services, are fully managed in-line with IKEA CM standards and procedures. This involves capturing the functional/non-functional requirements, design, and operational information throughout each product’s lifecycle. You will also assist with the development of migration plans and help oversee deployment.

  • Operationally manage and implement the Configuration Management (CM) processes and procedures.
  • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures and Configuration Management Plans (CMPs) as required.
  • Identify, document, and baseline Configuration Items (Cis).
  • Maintain configuration control for baseline environments.
  • Ensure all changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the CM lifecycle.
  • Manage and maintain software inventory.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, direction, and guidance on the toolset utilized.
  • As part of the CM process, change management operational activities, such as assisting the team with the change request process will also part of your duties.
  • A release management understanding would be advantageous.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence and GitHub.
  • Experience managing complex IT projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills essential
