• Executing product development to deliver identified business opportunities on behalf of the Range & Product Teams
• Contributing to strategic development of IKEA by leading selected initiatives and areas and being a testbed for business development
• Acting as a competence hub for the unique capabilities and competences of the region

About the assignment

As Range and Product Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to secure planning, prioritisation and execution of all projects in the Product Development portfolio from the perspectives of range and product engineering and usage of standard materials, shared solutions and design for total cost.

This is a senior leadership role within IKEA, and as a Range and Product Engineering manager you will be a member of the Development Centre Management Team and deliver to the Business Portfolio and Business agenda. Your main focus will be on leading and securing a high level engineering development and innovation with the aim of efficient usage of resources and significantly increasing the customer experience in connection with function, quality, sustainability and low cost. You will report directly to the Development Centre Manager. The team you will lead consists at the moment of eight co-workers.

About you

You are a humble leader with extensive experience from strategic development and international business. You are known to inspire through your positive energy and by your stakeholder management you are able to build credibility and trust. We also believe that you have a deep business and product development knowledge on a strategic and tactical level.

Furthermore we believe you have/are:

• Experience from previously work in a Product Development Centre or IKEA of Sweden.
• Deep knowledge in material and technical development as well as supply chain.
• Great passion and interest in the home furnishing business.
• Driven by the desire to develop range and business which involves problem solving and finding new solutions and innovations.
