The establishment of IKEA Supply (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (ISMY) is to support/drive improvement in the current and future Logistics/Distribution Network within Asia Pacific. The organization will supply full range of IKEA products from High Flow and Low Flow goods to South East Asia market including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Australian, India and future new markets within the region.

We are strategically located at Port Klang (Pulau Indah), near Kuala Lumpur to cater for an efficient goods flow with minimum of lead time for the inbound flow.

This job will be more of hands-on and task based, where trainee will get a chance to learn about system and processes used in IKEA to enable import and export operations .  Along with this trainee will also get a chance to enhance knowledge about IKEA supply chain, regulated article import process and compliance in customs operation. 

Below is detail about what trainee can learn during his/her tenure with customs team;

• Get hands on with daily customs operation task of import and export and also get an overview of customs bonded warehouse operations.
• Closely work with internal and external (customs broker) stakeholders to secure customs clearance in-time.
• Support customs team in administrative and archiving task.
• Get hands on experience of securing regulated article import requirement.
• Get an overview about compliance in customs operations and rules and regulations for importing regulated articles in MY.
• Learn about the systems and customs operations in IKEA with more focus on MY import and export process.
• Opportunity to learn about IKEA supply chain at high level.
• Learn about IKEA’s value and culture.

• At least bachelor degree in business/ supply chain management / logistic
• Candidate with experience in customs / shipping / supply chain / logistic is preferred. 
• Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Good speaking, reading and writing skills in English.
• Have high passion to learn and self development 

This assignment will be based at IKEA Supply (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd at our new Distribution Centre in Pulau Indah, Port Klang, Malaysia.

This position open to Malaysian only.
