Job Description

As a Demand Planner you will be responsible of predicting the customers buying behaviour and demand for IKEA products on a global level. You will get a chance to utilize your analytical and communicative skills to improve our forecast from the start of a product development all the way to the customer. By joining IKEA of Sweden you will understand and learn how home furnishing products are developed to meet our customers and create a better everyday life for the many people. You will get deep knowledge about our development process and our strategy, and create a solid base of IKEA knowledge that will benefit you throughout your IKEA career. On top of that, you will be part of a diverse and inclusive team, where each co-worker is valued and respected. You will belong to an organisation with a value driven culture where SimplicityCost-consciousness and Different with a meaning are key components in creating the IKEA spirit.

And what do we offer you in this assignment?
You will act as the link between Sales and Supply, turning in depth analysis of our sales history into an accurate forecast that is used to secure the availability of our products to our customers around the globe. In addition, being the Supply Organisation’s speaking partner with the Retail organisation, you will turn global and national sales plans into product level forecasts by predicting when, where and in what quantities the products will be sold in the Customer Meeting Points. You will contribute in building a smarter, slimmer and more cost-effective supply chain, enabling availability at the lowest possible cost!
