The role of IKEA Purchasing & Logistics is to buy, produce and distribute the IKEA range at the lowest total cost, making high quality available to the customer under good social and environmental conditions. Purchasing & Logistics Area North is one of 8 Purchasing & Logistics Areas in the world, and our co-workers are based in Älmhult, Dortmund, Kaunas and Moscow.

Job Description

For this position we are looking for a finance controller who is up for a true adventure! In this role you will get a unique opportunity to grow an international experience and network from day 1.

Here’s the deal:
You will get the chance to work and live in four of our different locations (Älmhult, Dortmund, Kaunas and Moscow). After you have received your onboarding in one of the four countries, you will spend 3-6 months in each location, taking on specific financial assignments and working with the local teams in each country as well as taking part in regional/global projects. After this period you will continue to work in the first location until you are prepared to take on your next challenge somewhere within IKEA!

Examples of assignments:

  • Establish and monitor the overall cost frame, forecast and result
  • Accurate and timely monthly cost reporting and analysis and bi-monthly operational reporting in the nominated Inter IKEA tools (e.g. CostView, SAP) of actual and forecasted costs
  • Financial Screening of our suppliers and carriers
  • Work with portfolio management and projects (Generic Project online, Power BI)

Qualifications

We believe that you are as curious as we are and eager to explore new places and to meet new people. You are a newly graduate or at the beginning of your career within finance or business administration and have a genuine interest in both numbers and people. You are comfortable doing in-depth analysis as well as presenting for larger crowds of people. At IKEA we believe that magic happens when we work together. What you have in your backpack:

  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks on an operational level with great attention to details
  • Ability to work in a structured and organized way
  • Capability to communicate in a clear way and build relationships
  • Good financial knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft office

You can start your journey in either Älmhult, Kaunas, Dortmund or Moscow and you will be given the possibility to try all our locations!
