In the Business Steering function you will be in the heart of IKEAs strategic decisions and support our Leaders in analysis, business insights and facts. We are on a venture to move to higher level of advanced analytics and data driven decision making and we are therefore looking for a Development Leader that can make it happen. 
 

Job Description

As a Development Leader, your role will be to contribute to the business priorities by leading the development within the area of advanced analytics. All from creating business value through leading use-cases and delivering insights to taking an active role in keeping IKEA in the forefront of techniques. Tools and methods and how we can apply to our context.

An important part of the role is to champion advanced analytics, identifying opportunities where analytics can make a difference and translating these into development projects and deliveries and driving adoption across the business.

The true value comes from taking quicker and better decisions, and enabling us to focus on more-value adding tasks.

In this role you will be reporting to Advanced Analytics Manager Monica Giselson-Olsson.

Your main responsibilities as Development Leader are to lead the execution of projects and activities that build and deploy analytical solutions and capabilities– based on decided roadmap. You will communicate and anchor plans with relevant stakeholders and define resources needed for realization of actions and plans and lead virtual team of advanced analytics competencies. 

Together with the team - be an active business partner by delivering on advanced analytic questions and driving actionable business insights. Lead the identification of opportunities where advanced analytics can make a difference and facilitate the process of prioritizing these opportunities. Serve as project manager on (some of) the projects. Actively champion adoption of the solutions across the business. 

You will also take an active role in keeping IKEA R&S at the forefront of techniques, tools, methods and support the organization by being an ambassador and advisor in the area of developing and applying advanced analytics.

Qualifications

We believe you have a sharp logical mind-set, passion for analytics and great problem solving skills. You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms, acting as a translator between what is technical and business reality. You have great interest for business and specifically how the IKEA business model works and contribute to a better everyday life for the many people.
You have strong project management skills and proven track record. 

In the role of Development Leader we expect you to have:

-    Good business understanding
-    Passion and knowledge within the field of business analytics
-    Ability to lead senior resources in the process without formal authority 
-    Ability to lead business in a global matrix organization 
-    Ability to lead, develop and challenge 
-    Ability to “think outside the box” together with an analytic and structured approach 
-    Experience from working in a global context. Previous IKEA experience is a merit. 
-    An academic degree in either economics, supply chain, statistics, mathematics or equivalent
