The Product Engineering organization enables, thru innovation and together with other organizations, us to live up to and strengthen our democratic design and thereby support the Business Areas to deliver to better homes and better products.

Right now we are looking for a Product lifecycle Engineer for a temporary 1 year assignment.

Job Description

As Product Lifecycle Engineer you will be responsible to support the engineering team with administration, documentation and verification activities. You will help to secure that product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible to perform moderate changes on product documentation including technical requirements, CAD drawings and packaging solutions 
  • Support in securing the complete product documentation during the Product life time 
  • Support in verification and validation activities 
  • Secure that technical product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards 
  • Responsible to act on identified gaps in product documentation 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role we see that you have a background in technical administration, it is a plus if you have a university degree in engineering. You have a passion for product development, and you have the motivation in the creation and maintenance of product documentation. Your knowledge in 3D drawings and SolidWorks as well as IT tools for product information will be considered as an added advantage. 

We see that you are a committed and self-driven person with a strong will to influence and make a difference. You work in a structured way with analytical skills and to take the lead in planning and executing of your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.

You have strong communication skills in English and the ability to create confidence and build relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery oriented person with a passion for details.
