About the assignment

  • Relationship and performance: Overall responsible for business with a defined number of service providers (SP) within the assigned geographical business scope. Develop effective relationships with SPs to secure their performance in all respects (as per defined goals and KPIs), through IKEA Way of doing business, based on shared business model and values, trust and transparency.
  • Continuous development of business: Cooperate with SPs to continuously increase their overall competitiveness through new business opportunities, such as optimal network design, alternative drive-trains and fuels, better equipment, multi or inter-modality, innovation, digitalisation, etc.
  • SP portfolio:  Identify and propose carrier portfolio based on long-term business needs. Take lead in SP Classification and SP Development Program (SpDP) towards partnership for growth.
  • Business agenda and cost/price development: Identify and act on business opportunities, actively takes part in tenders and other procurement activities according to relevant working methods. Create preconditions for SPs' service cost-down & secure respective price impact and development of all relevant business performance criteria.
  • Market intelligence: Maintain extensive knowledge of relevant transport market conditions. Attend relevant external forums to keep up-to-date with industry trends, including innovative approaches.
  • Compliance: Establish and secure fulfilment of Frame Agreement and Sub-agreements. Together with other relevant functions perform Carrier Business Review. Responsible to secure SPs' IWAY compliance and compliance to Supply Chain Security requirements.

Qualifications

  • You have deep knowledge of of transport industry, South East Asia and Australia market specific conditions (infrastructure, trucking, short sea, railroads etc.) macroeconomic trends and service provider capabilities..
  • You have deep knowledge of Service provider Development Process, Purchase Development Process.
  • You have deep knowledge and experience of interacting with external partners; including Service Provider management.
  • You have ability to lead business with a holistic view, always act with customers, service providers, total IKEA and total cost development in mind.
  • You have capability to deliver result through involving and engaging peoples.
  • You have capability to perform business analysis, risk assessment, scenario planning and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions and implementations.
  • You have strong negotiation skills.
  • You have been good in communication, problem solving and time management.
