The task of IKEA Components within IKEA is to develop and supply IKEA with customer friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. Our task is to take the responsibility for selected components and raw-material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components have also the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Our business is global and employs 1500 people based mainly in Sweden, Slovakia and China.

Job Description

As a Business Navigator, you should contribute with core competence and be an active partner in steering the organization in a strategic, tactical and operational way. You lead performance management in all performance areas in all dimensions and project portfolio management from business planning to execution in order to ensure goal achievement.

You are an active business partner to teams and decision makers and lead with fact based insights and active risk management. You facilitate business development and innovation by actively exploring risks and opportunities based on facts and figures.

Qualifications

  • Be an active support to and resource for our Component Business to analyse and evaluate the business

  • Interpret the Component Business results and progress in relation to goals and agreed plans

  • Responsible for sharing reliable navigation information, relevant conclusions, business insights and recommendations with key stakeholders in order to take proactive and/or corrective actions (both year cycle based and ad hoc)

  • Identify potentials for business improvement, new opportunities and business risks

  • Support and handle important ad-hoc analysis

  • Contribute to the goal setting process by aggregating, validating and assessing goal submissions

  • Be an active business partner and link the business, global support and finance dept. globally in taking fact based decisions and support, question and challenge when necessary

  • Initiate and participate in the development of tools and working methods, to support all functions in the Component Business

  • Lead business performance management; lead the translation of business plans into goals and steer towards a balanced totality, secure relevant performance reporting and follow-up and lead fact based decision making

·       Be an active partner in action planning by providing market, consumer and business insights, identifying opportunities and risks and by supporting with scenario planning, modelling, risk assessment and contingency planning

·       Facilitate a strong performance culture where deviations are detected early and acted upon and insights from business performance reach the right receivers at the right time

·       In the unit, take a cross-business responsibility for leading and coordinating processes

·       Acts as an ambassador for a performance culture, works to enhance business understanding in the unit

In the matrix, contribute to the development of working methods and tools and share best practice

Additional Information

This role will be Leading and steering the performance management process and project portfolio management from planning to execution within the area of responsibility, in order to ensure goal achievement.

The Business Navigator reports to the Finance & Business Navigation Manager in China and will be important team member in our Business Steering matrix which is lead by our Business Finance Manager and Process Development Manager in Älmhult.
