Job Description

 About the role

You will join a new team which just started to build the Information Management function of the future and work directly with Group Information Manager. You have the opportunity to co-develop and apply an Information Management approach that is innovative, steps away from traditional ways of working and embraces agility and simplicity. You will be an active contributor to our journey of creating a better everyday life for the many people by unlocking the power of information across the organization.

By being pro-actively involved with Information Governance, you will be responsible for the execution of Information Management in Inter IKEA Group including the smooth running of the Information Governance interacting at an enterprise level. You will have opportunity to directly contribute to Information governance strategy of Inter IKEA Group and manage the Information Governance processes together with Data Owners and Group Information Manager. Developing, maintaining and communicating Information Management policies, rules, and standards will be a part of your role.

You will ensure the Information Governance standards and processes supports the analytics capability and lead the implementation of Information Governance tools. Part of your role is providing information technology advice and counsel on Information Governance and data management projects. You will also establish quality and performance metric tracking tools in coordination with the key stakeholders.

Another part of your role is enterprise data related process management and coordination for selected data domains. You will interact with the data domains under your responsibility and ensure that the data stewards and data owners understand their roles in the organization. You will also take responsibility for identifying and managing critical data management issues and risks

You will also have opportunity to lead and champion enterprise data management initiatives and coordinate enterprise data management operations (e.g. Information Governance, Master Data Management, Content Management etc.). Since this is a new role in a new team, you understand that changes in responsibilities may arise over time.

Qualifications

About you

You share and live the IKEA culture and values, have a genuine interest in home furnishing and have working experience in European companies and similar industry (retail franchise, consumer goods supply chain).

You are humble, straight forward and curious. You have strong project experience and at the same time you have excellent communication skills with strong presentation skills and able to gain buy-in. You have the ability to engage resources outside of direct control to achieve objectives. You are proficient in English.

You are excellent in the use of data and helps ensure that the data is properly defined and used throughout the enterprise. You have strong experience of data processes such as data cleansing, master data management and meta-data. You have excellent knowledge of data quality, policies and standards including knowledge of industry standards and trends.

You are a strong team lead. You are credible within business and IT and have the ability to manage multiple teams with different focus. An open-minded team player with the ability to build trustful relationships. You enjoy working in a vibrant and changing multi-dimensional environment and are happy to travel.

You are an expert in Information Management. You have proven experience between 8-10 years in related fields of expertise. You finalized a university degree and ideally a post-master qualification in the field of information management.

You have analytical skills. You have strong ability to perform root-cause analysis. You are experienced in metrics gathering, tracking, and reporting.

You have solid process viewpoint. You have a broad understanding of Information policies and standards and you can establish relationship with industry sources around data standards.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based in Delft (The Netherlands), reporting to the Information Management Manager.
