Within the organizational responsibilities lie the design, development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range of smart products and digital solutions.

About the role
The Business Area Sales Manager position is a business and leadership focused role in the centre of IKEAs product development. You will be accountable for the Home Furnishing Business (HFB) and BA sales plan based on the agreed goals in the IKEA Business plan. This is achieved by leading the Sales function in the BA dimension – business and people together!
Your responsibilities will include:
• To lead, coach and develop the Sales Team in the Business Area.
• To contribute as member of the Business Area Management team to the success and development of the total business.
• To be accountable for the outcome of the Sales collaborations for Sales planning and Range dimensioning to deliver agreed plans and KPIs.
• To be accountable to secure that the requirements for easy buying and selling are incorporated within the HFB product offer.
• To secure that the relevant Sales processes & year cycles are executed and deliver to the planned results and KPIs.
• To secure that Range Dimensioning, Sales Planning, Sales Steering & activation, Pricing, Easy buying & Selling are integrated in the HFB plans and executed according to the year cycle.
• To ensure that Expansion plan are brought into the BA.
• To collaborate across the IKEA network to maximize growth and profitability of the business.

What knowledge do you need to bring to be successful in the role?
• Knowledge in the market and competitor landscape of the Home Furnishing Business
• Knowledge in the retail environment and how the offer meets the customer
• Knowledge in conversion drivers in the different touchpoints in the HFB
• Knowledge in how attract the consumer through marketing and communication efforts

• Capability in developing products/solutions including software and electronics;
• Knowledge in digital solutions and digital interfaces for consumer products;
• Capability in agile development methods of products/solutions.
