About the role
Job Description
As a project leader you’ll lead and develop strategic development projects within the business, processes, methodologies and tools. In the role you’ll lead your project team and act as a coach, who inspire and empower the people to perform at the best of their abilities. You’ll report to Category Area Manager.
Your main responsibilities are:
• Develop and lead strategic projects, activities and/or work streams within a specific Category and/or Categories.
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and line organization
• Contribute actively to continuous development within establishing and improving common tools, processes, methodologies and methods used to structure, measure and document overall project performance.
• Lead, negotiate and coordinate actions with all stakeholders to create and secure total project delivery
• Manage change by supporting stakeholders in preparing receiving organizations, learning and communication activities
• Lead and/or coordinate people across all Inter IKEA Group.
Qualifications
You have a strong capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver excellent results through others. You have a strong Purchasing background and skills. You can easily combine working on a strategic level with acting on a tactical/operational one. You are able to perform business analysis, risk assessment, scenario planning and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions. It gives you energy to work with cross-functional teams, handle multiple priorities and simplify complex issues.
Moreover, we also believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:
You come with good track record in current & previous positions, in leading and developing people, you lead by example and have the ability to bring out the best in your team and organizations you encounter.
You should have strong communication skills, be fluent in English, be flexible and able to travel. We believe our ideal candidate also flourishes in an environment of change, and can act with the speed required for this business. You should have a collaborative approach, be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and be comfortable working in the unknown at times.
You have a relevant university degree and ideally have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing with a proven track record, including a management position. Of course you identify strongly with our values, you act as an ambassador for them and enjoy creating an environment where the IKEA values are a living reality.
