INTER IKEA Group is now forming a new Indirect Procurement organisation (Category Area Indirect Procurement), which has received the task to operate across the Inter IKEA Group companies, between all three core businesses (divisions). With the ambition to secure the best possible prerequisites for INTER IKEA group to handle the new world, fulfilling the future needs of partnership and supplier innovations. 

Job Description

As the Category Manager, you are leading the purchasing assignment across Inter IKEA Group companies for Professional services end-to-end, on operational, tactical and strategic level by:
•    Developing and implementing Category strategies and plans fulfilling the needs of our core business units
•    Act as One IKEA along our core processes, together with relevant functions and people contributing towards IKEA business objectives
•    Establish & develop high performing and diverse supplier base
•    Deliver excellent results to meet goals
•    Leading the category management team securing competent and high performing teams and leaders who inspire and empower co-workers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments
•    As part of Category Area Management Team, contribute to identify and act upon cross-category synergies & opportunities
You will also have an active role in the Management Team for Category Area Indirect Procurement and you will contribute to the overall development of our organization and its shaping towards the future.

Qualifications

You have a strong capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver excellent results through others. You have a strong Purchasing background and skills. You can easily combine working on a strategic level with acting on a tactical/operational one. You are able to perform business analysis, risk assessment, scenario planning and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions. It gives you energy to work with cross-functional teams, handle multiple priorities and simplify complex issues. 
Moreover, we also believe that you have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:
You come with good record of accomplishment in current & previous positions, in leading and developing people; you lead by example and have the ability to bring out the best in your team and organizations you encounter.
You should have strong communication skills, be fluent in English, be flexible and able to travel. We believe our ideal candidate also flourishes in an environment of change, and can act with the speed required for this business.  You should have a collaborative approach, be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and be comfortable working in the unknown at times. 
You have a relevant university degree and ideally have at least 5 years of experience in senior management position within purchasing, with a proven record of accomplishment. Of course, you identify strongly with our values; you act as an ambassador for them and enjoy creating an environment where the IKEA values are a living reality.
