We are currently putting in place the foundation, in terms of people and ways of working. You will be part of the Category Area Food Logistics team, which amongst Need Planner role includes Demand planners as well, located in Malmö. 

Please note that this position is temporary for a project until April 2021.

Job Description

As a Need Planner at IKEA Food your role is to secure availability of the food product range by collaborating effectively with all supply chain partners in order to reach the goal of the lowest possible supply chain cost. In the Need Planner role you have the opportunity to work on a global scene, through and with supply colleagues around the world to achieve common goals! You are globally responsible for balancing the outflow to stores against supplier capacities

This means that you create an executable supply plan for a given range and ensure that orders are planned and placed according to this. Your tasks include working actively with the system M3 to adapt logistics parameters and security stock to given prerequisites such as the forecasted outflow per Distribution Center (DC) and shelf life of product.

Furthermore, you plan goods flow in the product change process (both phasing in and out of products) in close cooperation with Demand planners and Supply planners among other stakeholders.

To be successful in this role we believe that you; 

•    Have a university degree in business/economics/logistics 
•    Have proven experience within supply, preferably in an international environment.
•    Have strong analytical skills with a problem solving approach
•    Have the ability to work with a holistic perspective, from supplier to retailer, as well as the capability to be in details
•    Have the ability to communicate in a clear, structured and honest way
•    Enjoy working towards fixed time frames in an operational context, but also capable of handling unforeseen   situations which require quick action and communication
•    Lead by example and have the ability to bring out the best in other team members 
•    Previous experience with M3 (Movex) is a merit
