Your work base will be in Älmhult, and you will report to the Category Area Manager Lena Julle.


What do we offer you in this assignment?
As a Communication Business Partner you will be a strategic and tactical partner to the business and the Category Area, securing communication strategies and implementation of business- driven communication. A big part of your assignment is to lead, develop, implement and support a variety of internal communication projects. You will also be a part of the Category Area Management team, having the important position to co-ordinate, forward and anchor important communication topics as soon as possible within the IKEA Supply Communication matrix worldwide. In addition you will be responsible for developing the communication plan for the Category Area as well as to coach and support members of the Management team regarding matters of communication.

Your daily tasks will include:
•    Identify main business topics and messages
•    Identify and drive main movements within the area of communication
•    Assess business needs and develop communication solutions to meet those needs
•    Frequently handle media cases in co-operation with Media Relations and News Desk team
•    Lead content planning and development for all major meetings during the year cycle
•    Coach and support co-workers and managers in communication – locally and globally
•    Oversee the development of a total information landscape including all channels
•    Secure the availability and execution of communication-related training activities
•    Contribute to and deliver global strategic actions for communication
•    Lead and/or support any external communication within the Business Unit regarding corporate information and crisis communication
•    Act as a bridge between the Category Area and the IKEA Supply Communication matrix in order to take the lead in coordinating and securing that important assignments and communication needs are passed on and anchored within all Supply units worldwide
•    Develop and contribute to a shared communication agenda across IKEA organizations


To succeed & shine in this role, we wish that you:
•    hold a university degree (Information management, communication, marketing) or equivalent or have more than 5 years’ experience in creating and leading a strategic communication agenda
•    are experienced in working with business and communication strategy, planning and execution
•    have a understanding of how to use communication to support and increases the impact of a business agenda
•    are experienced working in a global environment in a remote context
•    are good at identifying business opportunities & deliver results
•    understand the role of communication in change management and organizational development
•    understand how to segment audiences and strengthen key messages to support different audience needs and situations
•    know how to define, brief and create communication that stimulates curiosity and dialogue (both “push” and “pull”)
•    understand multi-channel communication including print, digital, collaborative and workspace, and how to create cross-channel interaction
•    know how to brief and manage communication suppliers and project teams
•    are down-to-earth and have a straightforward personality 
•    are curious and strive to develop the business, people and yourself!
•    have strong strategic business mind-set
•    can handle a high working tempo and multiple priorities 
•    have the ability to simplify complex communication 
•    are fluent in both spoken and written English
