Job Description
Right now, we’re setting up Assignment Development Team within Product Pictures & Films as part of Product Communication and are looking for a Technical Artist.
The team will help lead the Product Communication development agenda with a customer-centric mind-set and the aim of strengthening the IKEA brand with a positive impact of the business, always ready for the needs of tomorrow.
As a Technical Artist you will be responsible for setting pre-requisites for a lean and effective volume production of high-quality photo realistic 3D Images, designing and implementing technical tools and processes. You are responsible for securing 3D related assets in the production flow leading to; delivering on time in high quality, at low cost and with a strong commitment in creating the most efficient workflow. You combine creativity and technology to enable large volume production of high quality 3D images of products, room settings and environments, that delivers to the brief and IKEA´s communication strategy.
Examples of responsibilities in this role are:
- To drive performance and KPI towards lowering cost and time while maximizing output and quality
- Working with lean production, efficiency and automation ensuring capacity for volume and scalability
- Participating actively in dialogues regarding the production methods ways of working, based on technical pre-requisites
- Building and maintaining good professional relationships and close cooperation with all co-workers in the project team
- Compiling and storing scenes in accordance to the set guidelines, frame work and technical pipeline
- Working to the template specification in production, preparing and checking 3D assets needed for volume production
- Creating documentation for process and tool improvements
- Testing new 3D scenes, tools and processes before implementation
Qualifications
Our Technical Artists are people who have an eye for details, efficiency and processes for producing world class 3D Communication. Real problem solver with enthusiasm to develop, learn and share knowledge and experience. And willpower to deliver beyond expected.
You'll need:
- To have expert knowledge with 3Ds MAX and V-RAY
- Great understanding of camera and lighting in 3D
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine, Unity, After Effects, Nuke, (Houdini) is an advantage
- To be familiar with Windows, Mac OS, Raw converters, Photoshop, Z-brush and Marvellous Designer
- To have experience in 3D Modelling & UV Mapping, Composition, Animation, storytelling, and Post-production
- Experience in VR and or AR
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
