The task of IKEA Components within IKEA is to develop and supply IKEA with customer friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. Our task is to take the responsibility for selected components and raw-material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components have also the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Our business is global and employs 1200 people based mainly in Sweden, Slovakia and China.

Job Description

As a Quality Leader, you will lead the global quality matrix within IKEA Components. You will coach and support our quality leaders and co-workers, and lead the competence development agenda on a global level, securing both relevant introduction and development/education packages.

You will set the ways of working within quality and collaborate with involved stakeholders to ensure the implementation and engagement. Thereby you will make sure that we follow our common directions in IKEA but also that we have the right strategies and pre-requisites to succeed within our type of business. 

You will also lead the digitalization agenda for quality and secure that we have the right IT solutions to make work efficient and effective. 


Your assignment will include: 

Your core responsibility will be to develop quality processes together with internal Process Leaders as well as Process Leaders in other IKEA units. You will utilize the existing working methods at IKEA and develop ways of working where it is missing. Quality is part of everything we do and there are quality touchpoints in almost all processes making this a complex task but also a task with great ability to influence.  

You will be responsible to set a long term road map for how to continuously improve quality and you will slice the roadmap to relevant actions, in order to make the roadmap happen. You will also develop and implement relevant measurements to make sure that we can follow our progress and take fact-based decisions. Our IT solutions can be great enablers so you need to understand how to translate the needs of the organisation into solution needs. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we would like you to have:

•    proven experience in leading and developing a professional way of improving quality in the whole value chain
•    ability to think on strategic level, and motivation to set a long term roadmap for quality in the organization, covering all the different functions from product development, purchasing and through our Packaging and distribution units and further on in the value chain
•    experience from working in a team leading position
•    ability to inspire people, as well as professional communication skills (easy to connect with others, to the point communication, sense of empathy)
•    inclusive personality, willingness to cooperate and share with others 
•    strong stakeholder management
•    experience working with process development
•    passion and drive to develop business and deliver results 
•    ability to transform the big picture into and hands on tasks
•    ability & willingness to work on a both tactical and operational level
