IKEA Food Services AB is looking for a Product Design Developer for Food Services

The Product Design Developer is part of the Food Services team and reports to the Range Design Leader. The position will be based in Malmö with travelling as part of the assignment. 

Job Description

The Product Developer is a key competence in order to ensure customer success. You have a responsibility in making sure that we develop and grow the IKEA Food range according to set priorities. 

In the role you analyze the market for strategic development of the business. You initiate market research, trend reports and supplier collaboration in order to collect and compile market and customer intelligence. You establish close co-operation with markets to ensure that our strategic plans are built on market and customer needs. 
 
You lead the development of better products and components delivering to all 5 dimensions of Democratic design always starting with the price tag
You lead the product development by engaging the full capabilities of the value chain to deliver democratic design products with unique IKEA identity and commerciality. 

You lead cross-functional project teams and drive development projects in order to secure the future of our component pantry and ensure optimal width in portfolio. You will play an important role in building up the future long term- as well as short term strategic growth plans and establish a close co-operation with markets.

You are responsible to secure IKEA unique identity and Democratic Design in each and every component and product. You are responsible for development of global as well as market specific components, recipes and dishes and enable the IKEA pantry build up.  
You support in transforming knowledge and insights around democratic design and Nordic food heritage into product development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a better everyday life for the many people - making the IKEA vision come true in every product.
You have many years work experience with good insight in the food industry. We would like you to have great knowledge and understanding of commerciality and the meeting with customers. You need to have several years’ experience of product development and product development processes in addition to being a well organized, structured and skilled project manager.

You should be used to working in a complex, constantly changing, international working environment where you take responsibility for making things happen. Your networking skills are excellent; you are an active listener with the ability to work together and build strong relationships and you feel energy in motivating and inspiring people. 
You have knowledge of Nordic ingredients, flavours as well as processing and cooking methods

You are result oriented and able work and deliver many projects simultaneously under time constrains. The passion for Food and the IKEA Food Journey as well as for the IKEA Food Health and Sustainability Strategy is obvious and you want to be hands on working to deadlines to make things happen in reality.
