Job Description

The IKEA Supply AG Treasury, part of Inter IKEA group, is a globally well-recognised Treasury that manages multi-billion currencies risks. During a fix period of twelve months, the resource will have the possibility to understand different departments within treasury, such as the foreign exchange risk management, cash management & foreign exchange forecasting teams. This will make her/him aware of how a structured multinational treasury office works. Our intention is not only to provide a learning experience during the internship of treasury operations, processes & systems, but also to eventually support a master thesis journey and providing a solid financial markets background.

Your tasks will include:

First position:

It will be expected that the candidate contributes to the foreign exchange flow forecasting & exchange rates setting processes by supporting the regular tasks & developing further existing tools. The resource need to understand the impact on his/her input on IKEA hedging strategies and the related P/L in the long run.

Second position

Sitting in the Front Office team the resource will support the colleagues in cashing the daily positions, challenge the current process, and be part of the journey to improve how we do it, support the Risk Managers in dedicated tasks/analysis.

In order to succeed in both position is required to perform data research & data analysis as basis for decision-making in the foreign exchange hedging programs. 

To be successful in this role you need to be/have:

·         University degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistic or economics
·         Strong interest in financial markets
·         Advanced skills in MS-Office, particularly with Excel
·         Fluency in English
·
