Job Description

Right now, we’re setting up the Creative Strategy & Planning team at IKEA Communications and are looking for Creative Planners

The Creative Strategy & Planning team will help lead the communication development agenda at IKEA Communications and always be ready for the needs of tomorrow. Leading with a customer-centric mindset and the aim of strengthening the IKEA brand with a positive impact of the business.

As a Creative Planner you will

  • Analyse research, insights and business input and turn it into key issues and findings that can strengthen the creative brief that will help to create distinctive communication.
  • Access and secure the pipeline for getting research & data. Interact with Marketing & Communication Design function to feedback and secure the needs from Communication Development perspective.
  • Contribute to writing and strengthening creative briefs with insights and big thinking.
  • Work closely with the Creative team to ensure the work is on-brief.
  • Support in new requests by meeting with business partners and translate/scope needs into suggested communication projects.
  • Facilitate creative briefings, brainstorming sessions and workshops to help develop creative actions in different projects.
  • Secure that communication is based on knowledge, insights and life at home, providing value for our customers.
  • Develop and maintain relations and collaboration with all team members and stakeholders.
  • Contribute in the identification and development of strategic communication (from brief to final product).
  • Act a role model in regards to IKEA Culture, Values and Code of conduct.

Qualifications

Our Creative Planners are people who can rapidly analyse and distil research data, simplify complicated issues, and produce relevant insights. People with the ability to conceptualise, be creative and imaginative, and think strategically with commercial intuition. People who confidently share findings, insights, and conclusions, are decisive, structured, and results oriented, People who have great interest in social and cultural trends and customer behaviour and a never ending curiosity in what makes people act and think the way they do. People who enjoy both high-level strategic and hands-on work. People that can spark an innovative and idea driven culture that enables co-workers to explore and share ideas and reinvent communication solutions.

You'll need:

  • A university degree in Marketing & Communications, Strategic Communication, or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of using quantitative and qualitative research and distilling secondary research and cultural and brand thinking into clear, concise recommendations.
  • Planning and stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of strategic segmentation, positioning, customer journey and customer experience.
  • Knowing how to actively facilitate & drive the whole creative process, briefing, brainstorming sessions, & workshops.
  • Social/digital channel understanding essential.
  • Understanding of the IKEA communication direction, dynamics of business drivers, and the assignor and customer’s situation & needs.
  • Strong life at home and home furnishing knowledge/interest.
  • IKEA concept, brand, values, copy and visual identity, Tone of voice
  • Fluency in English, spoken & written.
