IKEA Museum is the story of IKEA. In the past, in the present and into the future. We are about 70 co-workers located in Älmhult, Sweden. We offer visitors the opportunity to experience and explore the history and development of the IKEA business from a number of different perspectives.

Understanding life at home is the core of the IKEA business. Our aim at the IKEA Museum is to share IKEA (hi)story, Culture & Values and knowledge, be an inspiring and creative meeting place where people in all ages can learn, meet and interact, exhibit and contribute in development of unexpected and outstanding exhibitions and safeguard, structure and share the IKEA heritage for today’s business needs and for future generations.

Job Description

The IKEA Museum is a young and developing organisation. This means that all co-workers have the opportunity to find new ways of working and make a difference.
The Visitor Experience Team consists of about 15 co-workers with different background and experience. You meet our visitors with a great engagement and competence. As part of the team you are available to and make sure our visitors get a positive experience from their museum visit. The assignment consists of the responsibility for greeting our visitors, share relevant information, conduct guided tours in our museum exhibitions, and assist customers in the museum shop.

  • You enjoy the IKEA culture, live by IKEA values and build trustful relations with people.
  • You are service minded, inspired by and curious about the museum visitor.
  • You are inspired by working in a high energized environment. 
  • You enjoy sharing stories and do it in an inspirational way and feel confident talking into people in groups.
  • You are inspired by working together in teams and find inspiration in delivering to others.
  • You take initiative and action to fulfil the current needs.
  • You have the ability to find new better solutions on a daily basis.
  • It is an advantage if you have work experience within service related jobs. 
  • We expect that you are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. It is meritorious if you speak additional languages. 
  • We expect you are fluent in both Swedish and English, both in written and verbal. It is meritorious if you speak additional languages. 
  • You have computer skills. 
  • You must be at least 18 years old. 

Additional Information

The position is permanent on part time. IKEA Museum is open during 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. all days during the week and your working hours will be scheduled every other weekend.
