Job Description

The aim of the restaurant “Köket” is to attract more visitors to our museum by making sure that a visit at IKEA Museum is a great experience. We want to give our customers high quality food at a low price, ensuring we give them a good tasting reason to re-visit us. Your job will be about making sure that you and your team offer irresistible salads, dessert and beverages; served in a safe, effective and friendly manner. The restaurant function consists of two teams, kitchen and café, that works close together on a daily basis.

Your assignment
Together with your restaurant management colleagues you will lead the café team to reach the targets for the function. The job also includes administrative tasks and follow up which demands good organizational skills and ability to work in different systems.

Your tasks include:
·        Build a culture where food safety is number one, where co-workers are encouraged to discuss and solve matters that might occur
·        Responsible to lead and develop a team that consists of 10 co-workers
·        Co-operate and work close together with the restaurant management team
·        Co-operate and work close together with other departments within IKEA Museum, mainly with the communication department and visitor experience team
·        Guaranteeing that the operations in all areas of food production at the IKEA Museum is carried out in line with our quality and food safety requirements and applicable legislation
·        Be responsible for developing and securing an attractive and sustainable range in the café part of the IKEA Museum restaurant
·        Ensuring we offer irresistible salads, dessert and beverages of the highest quality and visual presentation
·        Take advantage of all opportunities to create sales and profit from everyday operations
·        Always focus on our guests and their feedback, learn from it and improve
·        Making sure that our kitchen area and the dining area is well kept and clean, with daily routines in place

Qualifications

For this role we are looking for a person with experience in, and enjoy, leading and developing teams and individuals. Good knowledge in food production and food safety, with experience of operating in a high speed restaurant environment. Knowledge in English and Swedish.

Additional Information

This is a permanent position on full-time. IKEA Museum is open for visitors both during days and weekends. Your working hours are during daytime. Work in evenings and weekends occurs temporarily.
