The ICOM Business Area Media Production supports IKEA retailers in producing efficient and effective marketing communication. To provide IKEA business partners with production platforms, production management service and know-how for print and digital publications. Together with IKEA business partners, IKEA retailers, and suppliers, we continuously develop and improve our publications, platforms and production processes.

The IKEA catalogue is our main production. Our experience with the IKEA catalogue helps us deliver related publications. We produce global in-store range brochures, the IKEA FAMILY MAGAZINE and other publications, in both print and digital versions.

As Sourcing Specialist - Paper and Print. You will establish and develop high performance and diverse supplier base together with the ICOM Media Production team and business partners which can meet the needs of our business and customer. Optimize our value chain that can make better products and service at lower cost, with high sustainability performance, quality, availability and business compliancy. Responsible for appointed paper and print supplier relation and support and contribute to the sourcing process, including process purchase agreements, review agreements, managing order changes, paper stock and closure, in internal business system

Your main areas of responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for daily service and support towards Suppliers and Business Partners, main interface towards appointed suppliers, account management.
  • Support and contribute to the sourcing process, RFI (Request for Information) and RFQ (Request for quotation)
  • Support and contribute to the Supplier Classifications and Supplier Development process.
  • Assign Purchase Agreements, review agreements, managing order changes, invoicing, paper stock and closure, in internal business system.  
  • Responsible to maintain and update relevant tools and reporting: e.g. Business System, Supplier portal and Sourcing System.
  • Responsible for business documentation/process compliancy
  • Maintain, update and communicate routines, specifications towards Suppliers
  • Represent the business in IWAY audit and close defined IWAY audits action plan.
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA values and Role Model for fact based Business leadership.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, we think you have:

  • 3+ years working experience of paper and print media production process in the relevant industry.
  • Graphical or Business administration degree
  • Good knowledge of purchase procedures and business administration
  • Good knowledge of value chain and analysis
  • Good Project Management and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of supplier Development Process and supplier classifications.
  • Good understanding of IKEA Democratic Design and how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering to it.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems (Microsoft Office, ERP experience is a plus).
  • Good knowledge of communications, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
