Trader plays an important part in establishing and developing IKEA on the European market. Together with the development team Trader leads the product development process from Democratic Design perspective and with a highly customer centric approach. According to IKEA customers’ needs for the products, Trader secures performance of running range, new products and outgoing products. He/She also secures the total supply chain perspective, in development process through own competence and through involving right competence needed.

Main responsibilities:

• Together with the development team responsible for execution of new and actual projects
• Responsible to find and use innovations identified and developed by suppliers and IKEA
• Proactive identifying potential product offer and promote the product offer
• Optimizing IKEA’s total value chain possibilities into the product through developing on the home, factory and store floor
• Responsible to lead and secure the supply chain perspective of the pricing process
• Responsible for driving creativity and challenging ways of working
• Acting as a ambassador of IKEA values
• Building and maintaining trustful relationship with different stakeholders

• Deep knowledge about the cost drivers in purchasing part of the supply chain
• Strong business orientation and commercial awareness
• Drive and commitment to deliver goals
• Understanding of IKEA current, short and long business direction
• Economic and financial knowledge
• Very strong negotiation skills and high decisiveness
• Strong influencing skills
• Very good communication skills
• Sense of urgency, creativity and eagerness to look for new solution
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Very good computer software skills (MS Office applications).
• Driving license Cat. B

The job requires travelling up to 50% of working time.
