Right now we're looking for a 3D Modeler, someone who’s always on the outlook for fine-tuning and development of 3D assets. Someone with the talent of leading and developing standards and processes, who could be up to date with evolution and innovation across the 3D industry.
Our 3D business is growing in every dimension and we're looking for a talented 3D Modeler. Is this the next challenge for you?
In the role you will:
- Be part of developing the CAD standard and the development for model variants such as LOD, real-time, dynamic resolution.
- Develop documentation for workflows and outsourcing standards.
- Manage and lead supplier network such as finding new suppliers, responsible for benchmarking, schedule and briefing of suppliers.
- Lead QA process for suppliers.
- Keep up with the evolution of modelling standards across the 3D industry.
- Have a close relationship with 3D artists and end users for the 3D model assignments.
- Be responsible for 3D assets in the model bank.
- Create for current & future processes & ways of working.
- Uphold & define the IKEA 3D model standard.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we think you have:
- 5 years working experience in 3D model production
- Related background in engineering, film, games, automotive or similar related area.
- Experienced in CAD production standards an advantage.
- Ability to analyse and brief 3D for assignors and outsourcing.
- Deep knowledge of 3Ds Max and V-ray.
- An understanding of AR, VR, animation, simulation, 3D techniques (scripts, plugins etc) and rendering high quality images an advantage.
- Good communication, relationship building skills and collaborative mind-set.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
