Right now we're looking for a Project Manager - Digital. Someone who is passionate about creating global communication, strengthening the IKEA Brand, and can make an impact on the business. Someone who navigates in the digital possibilities, and is always on the outlook for the solution that fits the message, and a frame that fits the solution. The Business Area Digital at IKEA Communications carries out all assignments involving global digital communication at IKEA. Our mission is to create and produce excellent communication that positions IKEA as a strong, unique and meaningful brand.

As Project Manager, you lead the creation and production of global digital communication, from project start to finish, by delivery of high-quality solutions within budget and time. To make this possible, you take the lead of a creative team consisting of (but not limited to) Interior Designer, Visual Designer, Experience Designer and Copywriter.

The Project Manager is an essential part of building a team effort that is based on the creation of good collaboration and inclusion of ideas, experience and diverse views. You consider the assignment in the bigger context, ensure the project’s strategic relevance, and safeguard the customer perspective in every aspect of the project. You build close relations with the assignors based on transparency, involvement and mutual trust, acting as a curious and knowledgeable speaking partner.

In the role you will:

  • Lead the delivery of excellent global communication solutions and communication projects from start to finish through all phases ­- from project definition to creative development, production, and follow up.
  • Build togetherness, inclusiveness and commitment within the project team, setting clear expectations and goals, creating conditions for high work satisfaction for all involved.
  • Be responsible for the business aspects of the projects. Manage project budget, debrief, identify deviations and secure delivery within agreed budget frames.
  • Involve and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, create alignment and secure needed actions.
  • Work closely together with IKEA Communications Image Production and/or external production companies.
  • Lead, advise and follow up through the understanding on how to apply key strategic documents.
  • Challenge the current way of working and help find better solutions ­- with simplicity and highest quality at lowest cost in mind.
  • Actively contribute to the development of processes, Ways of Working, tools and methods at ICOM.
  • Act as a role model in regards to IKEA Culture & Values.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • At least 3 years project manager/account manager experience.
  • Strong strategic communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication marketing or equivalent work experience.
  • Project management experience as main responsible for several campaigns/projects that have been proven successful, preferably for international clients.
  • Proven track record of previous digital activations.
  • Strong team skills, and the ability to lead and facilitate creative processes.
  • Resource planning and budget management.
  • Fluent in English and good communication skills.
