Right now we're looking for a Technical Developer, Someone who will secure the business with Information Technology tools, systems and provide support to the demand for IT custom tool development. That someone who will guarantee process improvements on the running business and consistently reduce time to market and increase business efficiency.  Someone who will deliver relevant technology solutions to IKEA Communications and ensure the high standards of the co-workers' needs are met.

As a Technical Developer, you will support the running IKEA Communications business by delivering IT systems, tools and improve the user-facing interaction with complex production systems. You will identify areas for development and manage the internal/external tools, systems involved in the content production to guarantee performance in IKEA Communications.

In the role you will:

  • Project Manage and undertake script programming for system development for (eg. C#, SQL, API) to secure delivery on the incoming Change Requests.
  • Overview and support CR flow related to system incoming requests and ensure clear communication towards requesters about planned development status and deliveries.
  • Support ICOM´s business areas to convert user needs from common business language to IT technical briefing for internal or external development purposes.
  • Follow-up with the business partners and end users to continuously keep them aware of the progress of the IT system & tools development request and guarantee a clear dialogue and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain technical training documentation of running systems for new hires and external supporting parties.
  • Maintain and update scripting of running systems based on the latest software releases.
  • Continuously benchmark and analyse IT processes within ICOM’s departments to pro-actively prepare for I.T. changes in production systems.
  • Ensure that working procedures and processes are aligned within the team and at ICOM.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, service providers and other stakeholders on specific projects.
  • Participate, contribute and ensure the purpose of your role is added in the decisions taken in the many groups you are part of.
  • Ensure performance and long-term maintenance of tools and processes applied to IT development within ICOM.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 3+ years working experience in related field
  • Bachelor degree on system architecture development and business processes or similar.
  • Knowledge of programming languages to undertake to script to support and improve the functionality of digital tools, systems and databases.
  • Knowledge and understanding of system development methodologies (eg. Scrum, agile, waterfall)
  • Overall knowledge about system backend such as SQL, C#, API.
  • Knowledge about frontend and UXD is a plus.
  • Knowledge of system integration flows.
  • Knowledge of project management processes.
  • Knowledge of managing and briefing suppliers.
  • English language skills, both verbal and written.
