The position as HR & Competence Manager at Marketing & Communication is new. Hence, you have the unique opportunity to step into a role where you really take lead of creating it. You will be a key player in the Marketing & Communication community with about 550 people. It will require you to be entrepreneurial with a solid can-do-approach. It will be a position where we think no day looks like the other one (to be discovered). 

Are you the one we are looking for? We are in need of a HR & Competence Manager who can be a strong contributor in the in the overall leadership of Marketing & Communication. We want that someone with the ability in strategic thinking and dares to be different in challenges, staying relevant to the many people, today and tomorrow. Someone who enjoys the business as well as developing people to grow. Someone with an eagerness to take on big development steps in competences. Someone who likes to be in the forefront of technologies, ideas and new ways!

As HR & Competence Manager you are responsible for bringing people and business together to create that little extra magic. In this role you will actively contribute to the growth by leading teams as well as competence development and by working together with all businesses, matrices and support functions. We believe that you will:

  • develop and take the lead in the people journey that Marketing & Communication is on to together with leaders and co-workers.  The base for this journey are IKEA culture and values strengthened with that special can-do spirit!
  • lead the PEOPLE agenda including the team and competence priorities and ensure that the PEOPLE plan is ingrained as the everyday business 
  • work with leaders to contribute to performance, with focus on leadership and competence development, and by securing the HR processes
  • influence and motivate leaders to continuously develop leadership capabilities 
  • focus on creating an environment and a spirit where we empower people, nourish creative and curious minds, learn from our mistakes and we always do smart solutions with cost consciousness in focus    
  • ensure that Marketing & Communication is known as a fantastic community to work within 
  • be a great example of the IKEA values within and outside IKEA
  • together with Communication leader drive and supporting change

  • experience in creating and implementing strategic plans and following up goals
  • business understanding and proven ability to have made a difference by positively influencing the business directly

  • excellent communication skills and ability to build trustful relations
