We now have a 1 year exciting opportunity for an entry level engineer to join IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult. We are looking for you with an engineering university degree, and who is ready to take a step into an exciting and innovative work environment. About the assignment
As Engineering Support, you will be responsible to support the engineering team with administration, documentation and verification activities. You will help to secure that product documentation is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards.
About the job
As an Engineering Support, you will work closely with the engineers in the product development teams as well as to have a close dialogue with the purchasing organization, suppliers and third party test laboratories to secure for the successful implementation. You will be working with several teams and product areas in parallel. You will be having good insight into IKEA specifications and test methods. You will work with documentation for new product developments as well as with improvements in the running range.
Qualifications
We believe that you are highly committed and self-driven person. You have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent. Interest in working with product development and/or creation and maintenance of product documentation. Your knowledge in 3D drawings and SolidWorks will be considered as an added advantage. You work in a structured way with analytical skills and to take the lead in planning and executing of your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
Furthermore you have strong communication skills and the ability to create confidence and build relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery oriented person with a passion for details.
Additional Information
IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written.
The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
