We are looking for another bright light in Business Area Lighting and IKEA Home Smart! We are 120 home furnishing enthusiasts who develop lighting and smart tech products for a beautiful and more convenient life at home. Small changes in lighting have a great impact on wellbeing, and bring out the beauty of the IKEA range! About the job

As a Project leader for Light Sources and Electronic accessories, you are responsible for:
• Leading the product development process together with your development team
• Developing and managing a profitable and high performing business portfolio and when needed, develop commercial news in close cooperation with the designers, securing IKEA identity in each product
• Challenging the existing points of view and drive creativity and innovation
• Responsible for involving and optimizing cross-functional competencies and stakeholders in the development team
• Communicating the strategic and the operational status of the development process with all stakeholders
• Optimizing the IKEA total value chain possibilities through developing on the home-, factory- and store floor
• Securing that our product offer is based on knowledge and research about life at home
• Translating relevant strategies and business needs in to objectives

Your responsibility is to take the total business and team leadership, manage and develop the total range of light sources including smart lighting. This includes developing the next generation light sources for new and innovative applications. You will also develop and maintain our range of competitive LED light sources, work with life cycle analysis and price strategies. You have an understanding of the customer needs and are able to adding value to the products according to these. You will work in close collaboration with other development teams within the business area.

Qualifications

To succeed in this mission we think you have a university degree within a technology field and several years of experience within product development. You are an experienced project leader and have been working with project management.

You have a strong knowledge in the area of lighting. You are curious and motivated by finding new ways of working. Delivery is a big focus in this role, and we will require you to deliver projects on time and within budget. You are energetic, driven and determined, enjoy working closely with people and have great communication skills. You have the capability to lead, manage and motivate people.
