IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the IKEA stores. The total range is almost 10,000 products.

Job Description

It is exciting times within the Textiles business area at IKEA of Sweden, and we are looking into new and innovative solutions. Today IKEA does not have any venetian blinds in the range since there are challenges in providing a safe solution. but we want to change this. Therefore this assignment is mainly dedicated to the development of venetian blinds. We are looking to make a transformational change, and to enable this we need a project leader who will provide the conditions for the development. 

Please note this is a 2 year assignment.


About the Job

As a Project Leader you will actively build connections with internal stakeholders whom hold specialist knowledge in materials and connections with suppliers, and you will also partner with external consultants in order to secure the right competencies for the project. 

You will manage the project in a business that is under transformation, this means that tools and processes are not necessarily in place. You will work proactively to set the time frame for the project, and be responsible for the budgeting. You will not have any direct reports in this role, however you will have an informal leadership when it comes to the stakeholders involved in the project.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we see that you are a senior project manager with a background in Engineering. You have an in-depth knowledge in product development, and you are curious and passionate about finding new solutions. It is desirable if you have experience working with patents.

You have a proven track record of delivering projects in an efficient and qualitative manner, and you create togetherness, enthusiasm and clarity within your project teams and amongst your stakeholders. Last but not least, you are passionate about being part of a business that is under transformation and you get motivated by taking leadership in our change journey towards becoming world class!

This is a 2 year assignment based in Älmhult, an inspirational working environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö, and an IKEA shuttle bus run back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day
