About the job

Our new Data Steward will help us ensure that the information flow with the IKEA Home Smart products and business are compliant with laws and regulations. You understand the tools and its data as well as the business reality. We have colleagues who are experts in the information security area and other colleagues specialised in the creating the data driven tools, and you will act as a bridge between these competencies communicating with both to create a better and safer product range information flow for the many people using IKEA Home Smart products. 

About the assignment

As Data Steward, the main responsibilities are:
• Handle operational requests related to Information and Data Management (e.g. clarification of ownership and data sources; investigation, analyse, coordinate)
• Handle internal and external requests for search, update and deletion of data
• Provide support with business and root cause analysis
• Ensuring the integrity of data within all sources
• Secure that information is available in line with the needs from all stakeholders in the value chain
• Establish consistent data quality acceptance criteria and business rules for validation
• Ensure compliance to legal rules, IKEA policies and standards
• Identify potential new data quality issues by analysing the results of data profiling and monitoring
• Measuring the performance of KPIs and report on result
• Support in communicating the information definition, business rules and information usage to the stakeholders
• Escalating data related risks as appropriate
• Support and educate in information governance matters and global directives

Qualifications

About you

We are looking for someone who gets excited about digital innovation and taking the lead in securing a safe product information flow for IKEA Home Smart products. You are passionate about being part of a changing business based on values, contributing to a better everyday life for the many people, and you lead by example in everything you do.  As our range is constantly growing and hence also the need for securing compliance and information management, we seek an experienced professional who has previously worked in an international and data-driven environment with knowledge of information security. 

The ability to lead your working area with pragmatism, decisiveness and a problem solving approach is obvious, as well as the skill to think ahead, plan and analyse. You are team-oriented and straight forward, having great networking skills. Your great communication skills enables you to build strong relationships with various stakeholders working mainly within product development, business development, risk management and data science. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is a prerequisite.
