We are looking for Information Leaders for the area of Data & Information Management who wants to be part of Digital and Business Transformation projects within the IKEA Product Information Management (IPIM) Programme.

 The range is our identity and the product information is an essential part of the IKEA Concept. New technology is changing our behaviour and the demands for new ways to interact and share real-time insights are essential for continuous growth. The goal of the IKEA Product Information Management (IPIM) Programme is to create a foundation that enables a digital ecosystem with the IKEA range at its heart. It means exploring and designing how data – about and around our products – is created and captured, how it is distributed and made available and how co-workers, suppliers, customers and third parties can interact with it in all aspects. IPIM is a programme that covers the whole IKEA value chain and all IKEA retailers.

Job Description

As Information Leader you will be part of a team enabling the future capabilities for product information at IKEA by providing a framework and governance for data & information management. You will explore and detail how product information is being created, enriched and consumed today. Creating the pre-conditions and capabilities for future data & information usage and the digital ecosystem we want to design - to create great and personalized experiences for our customers, suppliers and co-workers.
It is about enabling accurate and trusted information about our products at the right time throughout the IKEA value chain.

You´ll be part of the team responsible for Information Management, reporting into the deputy Programme Manager IPIM working together with other teams in the programme as well as supporting the projects.

You will be responsible to secure that all data becomes relevant information for different consumers throughout the IKEA value chain, supporting in their daily work and life.

You will enable that information can easily be created, enriched and shared across processes to enable collaboration. This by creating a framework for Data & Information Management that supports the IPIM vision, you will detail the framework together with the team.

You´ll be working closely connected to and interact with many stakeholders in IKEA – building a strong network and securing involvement of relevant stakeholders in all we do.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you need to have a strong interest in people’s everyday life at home, experience and a good understanding of customer, supplier and co-worker needs and behaviours throughout the entire value chain.
You have a solid knowledge about IKEA Range & Supply and the IKEA value chain including the information flows and how it is used across the value chain and/or information management in general.

It is likely that you have a university degree in data & information science like informatics, information logistics or similar. You have experience from information modelling to optimize business performance.

You have the ability to review, build and establish a framework that support the programme and IKEA transfer into the future - securing simplicity. Having a holistic mind set, being supportive and collaborative.

As a person you are structured but in the same time creative. You are not afraid to take the lead and responsibility. You can work both on high and detailed level, and enjoy exploring, but also to make things happen. You are able to make complex things simple to adopt and adhere.

You have excellent communication and networking skills and are fluent in written and spoken English.

You enjoy an agile and iterative, not yet fully set and structured way of working and achieving results together with a team in a flexible environment. You also have a strong individual drive to deliver high quality results on time.
